I grew up in the rural midwest of Indiana. I did what most kids do; got lost in cornfields, made tree houses in the middle of the woods, and caught lightning bugs in mason jars. Even though the silent fields of Indiana hold a special place in my heart, I knew that there was more that I needed to explore.
What has happened in the years since is something I’ll never get over. When God says He is “able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine,” He’s not kidding. I’ve learned that firsthand.
I now reside in San Francisco, CA, where serve as a teaching pastor at Canvas SF. I’ve also had the unique privilege of writing a handful of books, including Makers & Monsters: Finding Your Inner Artist. Fighting Your Inner Critic.
I take pleasure in the simpler things of life, like black coffee, a good pair of boots, or a solid wifi connection. But more than anything, I long for people to know, love and create in the image of our Creator.
I’m glad you could stop by.
